CANTERBURY RESTORED 52” HIGH EXTRA CARVED Stunning antique Extra carved rocking horse made by G & J Lines. A very large lad at 52" high. The stand is 63" long. This horse has not been over painted, he still has his original paint! He retains all the little marks and blemishes one would expect from a toy of over 100 years of age. He has had professional cosmetic restoration, to include enhancement to the original paintwork, then sealed to preserve. His leather tack is an exact replica of the original, and there is a removable side saddle pommel. Nearly all of the brass rosettes and studs have been salvaged and re-used. Natural horse hair mane and tail. The stand and metal swing parts are all original. There is no evidence of woodworm damage, and there is no movement in any of the joints. It is in extremely good serviceable condition |

"ROMEO" A tiny genuine Victorian rocking horse. Circa 1890 Made by J & G Lines. 32" high to the ears. Body length 17.5" Stand length 33" The horse is extra carved with his head turned slightly to one side. Authentically restored to the original finish. All parts of the horse and stand are original, and it is structurally sound with no loose joints. He has glass eyes, replaced leather tack and natural horse hair mane and tail. The brackets are stamped underneath J & G Lines 1.
